North Zealand with its beautiful child-friendly beaches, cozy fishing villages, many attractions and theme parks is an attractive vacation area. For example, visit North Zealand's tropical bird park & zoo with a fantastic collection of parrots and passerine birds but also creepy crawlies like steppe monitor lizards and mammals like coatis and kangaroos. Fish in Denmark's second largest lake, Esrom Sø, or head out from Helsingør for deep sea fishing on Øresund, which is one of the very best fishing waters in all of Scandinavia. Boats sail every day all year round. Also take the opportunity to take long refreshing walks on the marked paths and trails in the enchanting nature of North Zealand.
